It is equipped with hardware and software platforms such as digital camera equipment and computer information management system to collect vehicle images, and uses advanced image processing, pattern recognition and artificial intelligence technology to recognize license plate numbers. The specific steps include finding the location of the license plate in the image, extracting the text, letters and numbers on the license plate, and finally giving the real number of the license plate. 1
License plate recognition technology is widely used in many fields, such as traffic management, parking lot management and public security law enforcement. Through license plate recognition, vehicle information can be quickly and accurately obtained, improving the efficiency of traffic management, reducing manual intervention, and helping to monitor and record the vehicle’s driving trajectory. In terms of technical realization, the license plate recognition system usually includes the steps of image acquisition, preprocessing, license plate positioning, character segmentation and character recognition.
